There is nothing wrong in stating that there is lot of craze for the mass destruction films all around the world. The success of the films like Independence day, Transformers and few others, stand as perfect examples for my previous statement. The 2009 disastrous movie “2012″ did manage to pick its spot in the list mentioned above. The movie (2012) has a bunch of massive destruction scenes filled with some cool graphical effects, and wonder what, they look really awesome and perfectly natural. However, I still feel that the movie is missing something and talks about something really stupid. So, let me just give out my thoughts about the film 2012.

2012 is certainly the king of all the disastrous movies Hollywood have ever produced, there’s  no doubt about that. The crew did exceedingly well to setup great action sequences all together to give a great preview of California collapsing like World Trade Center did way back in Sep 11 2001. Credits should be given to the Graphical effects team who did surprisingly great job in producing massive TSUNAMI’s, Sloar Flares , Flight simulation scenes, Earthquakes and building collapsing scenes.

Roland Emmerich’s $200million movie is right on money starting from the first few minutes to the last frame of the movie. The rich look is always there through out the course of the movie. I don’t know if the intention of the crew is to warn people about the disaster that’s coming but, most people including NASA also doesn’t seem to support. The movie trailer also says the governments don’t want to threaten people by revealing the facts but, guess what, Hollywood does.  The movie clearly shows that it’s United States that’s going to take hard hit, if something really goes wrong in 2012 .

Now, let’s just come to the present. NASA has confirmed officially in their website that, there is no disaster that is going to happen in 2012. The movie also shows scenes that include Solar flares coming from sun to destroy the human community, and the fact is that, there is no strong predictions that there are life killing flares that are coming our way.  Here is a video we created to tell the society that the world is not ending in 2012. I seriously believe that the film is cinematic-ally a good hit but, the message it conveys doesn’t seem to match the situation. My rating for this would be 4 out of 5 and I suggest you to watch this one only to enjoy the way the movie was shot, not for the message it is giving.
